Accountant

Job description / Role

• The Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial information and records are kept in accordance with school, national and international policies and standards. The job specifically requires liaison between the school and the owning/operating company by which the school runs.
• All work performed must be in accordance with the school vision, philosophy and policies.

Requirements

• 2-5 Years experience
• Bachelor degree
• Completing accurate accounting entries for all financial transactions.
• Processing accounts receivables and payables.
• Maintaining accurate financial records so as to keep in line with international audit standards.
• Preparing timely financial statements that adhere to international accounting standards and allow financially concerned parties the ability to make informed financial decisions.
• Processing cheques and payrolls through the Wages Protection System according to national Labor laws and compiling journals, cheques and vouchers for signature. Cheques go to school owners. Vouchers go to the school Business Manager and Director.
• Processing staff final settlements.
• Assisting the school during audits.
