Job description / Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant to join our growing team at KIKLABB on the Quarter Deck of the iconic Queen Elizabeth 2 in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operations of the Finance and Accounting function at KIKLABB.

This role will suit a self-starter individual who enjoys working in a dynamic and fun environment and wishes to develop a career within a growing company. You should be proactive, not afraid to think outside the box and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understanding the key deliverables of the business, identifying KPI’s and reporting results to the senior management team
• Preparation and presentation of monthly Management accounts and stakeholder reports
• Developing annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Working closely with the Management team to develop company policies and procedures
• Maintaining and introducing Internal control mechanisms
• Updating and delivering daily revenue reporting
• Maintaining the general ledgers, posting of all entries and reconciliations
• Issuing client invoices, tracking receipts and ensuring all payments are made in a timely manner
• Completing quarterly VAT submission and ensuring that all the relevant records as required by law are adhered to
• Managing both internal and external audits

Salary:
AED 4500 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• Educated with a university degree in either Finance; Accounting or Business Studies
• Professional Accounting qualification – ACCA; CIMA; ACA; CPA or equivalent
• Must have at least 2-3 years’ experience within UAE
• Must have UAE VAT Experience of at least 1 year
• Proficient with Xero Accounting Software
• Organised and focused on delivery to deadlines
• Strong communication skills (English both verbal and written)
• Strong excel skills and written skills
• Able to establish credibility with finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Intermediate/Advance user of Microsoft Office
• Experience of working with a Government entity and/or the trade licensing industry advantageous
