Accountant

Job description / Role

• Accountant responsibilities include supporting the Senior Accountant with all company tasks as per requirement.
• Helping the accounting department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
• Create and update expense reports.
• Check spreadsheets for accuracy.
• Update accounts receivable and issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
• Review and file payroll documents.
• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.
• Maintaining day to day accounts, prepare receipts, payments and journal vouchers.
• Banking Transactions, Bank Reconciliation and Payable accounts reconciliations.
• Maintaining petty cash transactions and statements.
• Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports for the management.
• Preparing payment for suppliers and ageing analysis of debtors.
• Prepare tax returns using electronic filing software.

Requirements

• A university graduate in Finance and Accounting.
• 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting. Minimum 1 year of experience in the UAE.
• Have excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
• Quality standards and quality assurance policy and procedure.
• Proficient in VAT and Tax Computations.
• Excellent communication skills in English
