Accountant

We are a Real Estate Development company which has just opened an office in Dubai. We are currently looking for an accountant who could join our team and support us by ensuring that all financial records and reporting are up to standard, updated and maintained regularly. The right candidate has an experience working for Real Estate development companies and understands its business demands and challenges.

Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the functions taken up in the company in relation to the main business.
• Preparing bank reconciliation in a timely manner
• Reviewing Bank and petty cash transactions posting.
• Prepare cheques
• Reviewing fixed assets depreciation and disposals.
• Collaborating with the managers and MD to guarantee control.
• Preparing VAT returns and posting VAT entries.
• Preparing monthly and annual accounts; monthly payroll
• Corporate document maintenance
• Projecting cost calculations
• Liaising with auditors
• Processing employee expenses; costing for projects
• Data gathering
• Receiving and storing invoices, processing reimbursements.
• Managing accounts payables & receivables.
• Using digital systems to keep records and create payments
• Logging daily entries in accordance with accounting policy
• Ad Hoc projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/Masters in Finance or Accounting
• At least 5 years experience in Real estate development business (is a must), the same role within UAE
• Experience working as per IRFS standards
• Must have knowledge with all rules and regulations of UAE VAT law, inventory process and costing, and preparing Bank LOC, VAT, Balance sheet, and P&L
• Familiar with various accounting software and MS Offices
