Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to join our team at a furniture company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, as well as a solid understanding of the furniture industry. The accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, preparing financial reports, and analyzing financial data to ensure that the company remains financially stable and profitable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the company's financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Monitor financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file quarterly and annual tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to management regarding financial performance, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Provide support to external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices related to accounting and finance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Dinance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the furniture or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
