WHAT TEAM WILL YOU BE JOINING?

The Group Finance team consists of over c110 team members who are focused on, and have a track record in, supporting and driving the financial success of Addleshaw Goddard. We strive to deliver a first class service to our stakeholders and to be a great team to work with and be part of. The Group Finance team comprises business professionals across a range of disciplines including Financial Control, Tax, Procurement, Commercial Finance/Business Partnering, Pricing, Financial Planning & Analysis, Credit Control, Accounts Payable, Legal Billing, Legal Cashiering and Treasury.

THE ROLE

Due to the continued growth of the Firm and opening of the Saudi office, we are looking to recruit an Accountant to principally support the new Riyadh office with all operational finance including billing, credit control, payments, statutory accounts etc.
The Accountant will work closely with the wider Group Finance team who are predominantly based across the UK offices.
The work that comes into the team is varied and you can expect to work on a variety of assignments that can include the following:

Operations:
• Support the billing team in the raising of invoices and credit notes for all the KSA entity, specially where knowledge of Arabic and local IT systems are needed. Invoices tend to be quite complex with many deliverables and the added complexity of arranging the invoices to be translated into Arabic as well as e-billing for KSA invoices means that support in this area will be required.
• Payments, ensure purchase order are raised and invoices are matched on the system, providing translation to English where required.
• Support credit control activities, chasing invoice payments etc, assisting with communications within KSA when an Arabic speaker is required.

Statutory Accounts:
• Assist in the audit process as required, support with accounts review and assist with submission to local authorities.
• Supports the preparation of Saudi Statutory accounts by an outsourced service provider by providing documentation associated with WIP & AR.

Continuous Improvement:
• Liaise with the central teams to ensure processes are as efficient as possible and controls are effective and operating as intended locally.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls and policies as well as regulatory and statutory requirements for the Region.

Local Reporting requirements:
• Supporting the local team in KSA by providing documentation to meet local reporting requirements.
• To keep on top of and communicate relevant local legislative, tax and filing requirements.

Requirements

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU NEED?

Successful candidates will have:

• Fluent English and Arabic speaker
• Some awareness of Accounting and local GAAP; VAT filing and Taxation in UAE.
• Good Knowledge in accounting software such as 3E.
• Self-driven, highly motivated team player who understands the implications of collaborating in a truly global environment
• Ability to work independently and a willingness to look at the detail where necessary.
• Ability to maintain highest degree of precision even under significant time pressure
• Must be proficient with MS Office, Power BI, advance skills in MS Excel are a plus
• Exceptional attention to details and can do attitude, proactive in communication.
• Can work under pressure with minimum supervision.
• Willingness to learn, explore and suggest on how to improve the process
• University degree, preferably in finance or studying for, or completed an internationally recognized Certified/Chartered accountant qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA
• Experience: 3 to 5 years similar experience ideally within the Region
