Accountant

Job description / Role

We are currently looking to recruit an accountant for a leading British consultancy operating within the construction field. Your will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and tax for the UAE and Qatar businesses.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and budgets
• Manage VAT and Corporation Tax
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improving financial performance
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents
• Ensure timely and accurate tax filings
• Assist with audits and financial reviews
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
• Stay up-to-date on industry developments and changes to accounting standards
• Provide financial advice and guidance to management

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with Zoho books would be an advantage

Salary:
AED 9,000 to 12,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
