Accountant

Job description / Role

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions for the construction projects
- Prepare budget forecasts and financial statements
- Conduct month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations
- Prepare and submit tax returns, VAT filings, and other financial documents
- Assist in the development of internal control policies and procedures
- Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for business improvement
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial success of projects

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is preferred
- Proven experience as an Accountant in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and compliance
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work

Salary:
AED 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
