Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and providing support to the finance department. Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions and prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement, and other financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, as well as monitoring financial performance and analyzing financial data.
- Collaborate with the finance team to support overall department goals and objectives, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven work experience as an Accountant, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, as well as proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary:
AED 3,000 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
