Accountant

Job description / Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized General Accountant to join our dynamic team in Al Ain, UAE. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accounting records & ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the retail and facilities management industry, contributing to the financial aspect of our organization while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all transactions.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
- Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate accounts reporting and compliance with company policies.

- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the retail or facilities management sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in accounting software & Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present accounting information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Fluency in English

Salary:
AED 5,000 to 6,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
