Accountant

Job description / Role

Key Responsibilities:
• Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.
• Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collections and follow up on overdue payments.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Process and record payments received, ensuring accurate ledger maintenance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports on aging receivables.
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to accounts receivable.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience of 3 Years in Accounts Receivable or a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in construction industry.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and financial compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or any other related field

Experience:
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures,
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
