Accountant

Job description / Role

Guildhall is hiring an Accountant for an international trading and logistics company that deals with perishable goods. We are looking for a careful and proactive professional to manage financial records and make sure accounting rules are followed. The role includes daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in compliance with accounting principles.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax filings.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and recommendations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g.,ZOHO or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
