Job description / Role
The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial functions, in addition of some administrative tasks ensuring compliance with local regulations and optimizing financial processes. This role requires a strong background in accounting, taxation, and corporate administration, with a focus on financial reporting, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Accounting
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper book keeping practices.
- Prepare financial statements, monthly reports, and cash flow forecasts for management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure financial stability.
-Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for financial audits and tax filings.
Taxation and Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, including VAT registration, filing, refunding and reporting.
- Monitor changes in financial and tax regulations and ensure company adherence.
-Handle corporate tax filings and liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
Corporate Administrative Management
-Manage trade license renewals, regulatory filings, and any other permissions or licenses submission
-Handle relations with government authorities, free zones, and other regulatory bodies.
-Ensure the company meets all financial and legal requirements related to business operations.
Banking and Treasury Management
- Maintain strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions.
- Manage banking transactions, including payments, fund transfers, and financial documentation.
- Monitor foreign exchange transactions and assess financial risks.
Process Optimization and Internal Controls
- Develop and implement efficient accounting and administrative processes.
- Establish financial control procedures to prevent errors, fraud, or mismanagement.
- Assist in the automation and digitalization of financial and administrative workflows.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics, trading, or service industries.
- Strong knowledge of UAE financial regulations, VAT, and corporate administration.
- Experience working with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks,odoo, or similar ERP systems).
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
- Excellent knowledge of tax laws and compliance requirements.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in English (French and Arabic is a plus).
Salary:
AED
8,000 to 12,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
