Position Overview:
Al Maimana Accounting & Bookkeeping is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional Arabic speaking Accountant to manage client accounts and perform on-site bookkeeping and audit support services.
The ideal candidate must have experience working within an accounting firm, handling multiple client portfolios, conducting site visits, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting audit and compliance requirements in accordance with UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit client premises to perform on-site bookkeeping and accounting services.
- Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned client portfolios.
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Perform bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, and balance confirmations.
- Prepare and file UAE VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations.
- Assist in corporate tax documentation and compliance (where applicable).
- Support audit engagements by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.
- Coordinate directly with clients to collect financial data and resolve accounting queries.
- Ensure proper documentation, filing, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Identify discrepancies and recommend improvements in client accounting systems and controls.
Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm environment
- Strong understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations
- Experience in handling multiple clients across different industries
- Hands-on experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, Tally, ERP systems, etc.)
- Good working knowledge of audit documentation and procedures
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent (or in progress) are preferred.
