Accountant - Filipina National

Job description / Role

Our client in the trading industry is looking to hire an experienced Accountant in Deira. The successful candidate must ensure the integrity of Company’s accounting information by overseeing all components of the general ledger. The successful candidate will be required to perform all routine activities for the day to day operation of the company.

Responsibilities
• Stand-alone finance role in a small sales office
• Reporting to the CFO based overseas
• Maintain the general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliation, closing books monthly and setting up new accounts.
• Responsible for petty cash, AP and AR and banking activities
• Petty cash
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Work with the operations teams to ensure correct inventory management and processes
• Prepare documents for annual external audit. Responsible for management and audit of all capital information.
• Provide reports and KPIs to management

Salary:
AED 7,000 to 9,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

• CPA qualified from Philippines
• Available to join immediately – on a visit visa
• Oracle experience preferred
• Accounting knowledge, including use of concepts and principles together with a minimum of two to five years’ experience
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) in English
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management
