Accountant - General Ledger

Job description / Role

• Manage a timely and accurate month end close by reviewing various journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaids, accruals, inter-company reconciliations, fixed assets schedules, financial statement consolidation and other various accounts.
• Maintains the integrity of the general ledger including the preparation, verification, and input of journal entries. Prepares analysis of accounts as requested.
• Review monthly prepaid, accruals and fixed asset roll forwards and related schedules.
• Responsible for the timely and accurate preparation and reporting of financial information and ensuring that information adheres to IFRS (international financial Reporting Standard) and internal company policies.
• Provide backup support to the accounts payable team and reporting team as needed.
• Work with and support the accounting team in day-to-day activities, special projects, and workflow process improvements.
• Track and Control Capex spent compared to Budget.
• Prepare Rolling cash flow.
• Prepare & review accruals revenue and expenses, reconciling bank statements.
• Prepare management report (AM reporting, financial reporting, and Investment Committee report (ICP).
• Assist in managing the asset portfolio accounting & reporting function efficiently.
• Play a vital part in the company's financial management which includes account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties.
• Lead process improvement initiatives in Financial Close, Consolidation and Reporting areas and provide recommendations based on Financial Close & Consolidations leading practices.
• Participate in the preparation of budget draft (initial budget draft).

Requirements

• MBA in Accounting/CPA/ACCA/CA/CMA
• Minimum Experience of 5 years & above in Real Estate, Retail or Shared Services Sector
• Working Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standard
• Proficient in Microsoft office Suite specially Microsoft Excel (Advanced Pivot Tables, X look up, V Look Up & data editing and analysis etc.)
• Excellent Verbal and written communication
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise at all levels and effectively influence.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with accounting software
