Job description / Role
• Exposure to core accounting processes and capable of dealing with all documentation to execute core accounting responsibilities, (AP, AR, Payroll, Financial Reporting)
• Excellent command of Excel and ideally advanced Excel skills
• Strong background in ERP, CRM, online ticketing and payment software solutions
• Good presentation skills are desirable but not essential (e.g. Power point)
• Good oral and written communication skills in English
• Excellent organizational capabilities, scheduling and coordination of self and others
• High level of interpersonal skills to work in a multinational environment
• Capable of independent work and managing a portfolio of projects as well as core accounting functions
• Delivering on time and to expected standards with a strong work ethic
• Ideally an ideal candidate will be a trail-blazer capable of setting up systems, policies and procedures from scratch, researching best practice and applying it to the Jalboot environment
• Capable influencer and good team player - trust, confidentiality and strong interpersonal skills are a must
• Results-oriented mindset that strives to overcome obstacles and apply creative solutions, thereby obtaining the best outcome for Jalboot
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and dedication to the mission of Jalboot
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Finance role in the UAE or overseas, including work experience during training for the chartered accountancy qualification.
• Must be a university graduate.
• Must possess a globally recognized chartered accountancy qualification.
• Experienced user of accounting and ERP software.
• Exposure to, or involvement in ERP system implementation is highly desirable but not essential.
• Must be willing to work outside of office hours if required.
• The ideal candidate will have experience of responsibility for the quality and content of financial data, reporting and audit coordination for either a medium sized or significant program area, and has preferably processed payroll and/or has been involved in the HR function previously.
