Accountant & Office Administrator (Must Love Dogs)

Working with a small and friendly team this is a hands-on, varied role that has two areas of focus: Front Office Administration & Financial Accounting. It represents an excellent opportunity with long-term career prospects.

• First & foremost candidates must be dog lovers and be comfortable around dogs of all shapes and sizes.
• The Accountant & Office Administrator is a role responsible for organizing and coordinating accounting & office operations and procedures in order to ensure positive & effective customer experience, organizational effectiveness, efficiency and meticulous record-keeping.
• Duties will include a variety of administrative, clerical and financial tasks including, but not limited to, customer service, reservations management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping and accounting, preparation of VAT and submission of VAT to the FTA on a quarterly basis, communicating and working with other members of the team, vendors, and customers to ensure day to day operations of the office run in the manner and to the desired standard of the owner.

AED 2,000 to 4,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

• Must love dogs
• Associate's degree or Bachelors of Science degree in accounting, finance or business administration
• Fluent in written and spoken English with strong communication skills
• At least three years’ experience in an office-based clerical or commercial setting with proven bookkeeping experience and hands-on experience with spreadsheets and accounting software
• Highly proficient knowledge and a minimum two years’ experience of Xero accounting software
• Minimum one years’ experience in accounting for VAT and submitting VAT returns to The UAE Federal Tax Authority
• Strong administrative, and interpersonal skills to interact with others in a professional manner
• Must possess superior organizational, time management and problem-solving skills
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles & knowledge of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent Data Entry skills with ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Ability to work both independently as well as in a team environment.
• Able to understand and adapt to cultural sensitivities
• UAE Driving License beneficial
