Accountant - Retail

Job description / Role

To take care of the finances (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable) of a luxury fashion brand company with HQ in Dubai and to be able to multitask in this role as company activities are having wide range which generally best described as Manufacturing & Retail.

• Provide monthly, quarterly, annually retail P&L for each selling point.
• Prepare budget forecasts for the coming periods.
• Accurate Data Entry of the daily summary sales reports into the system.
• Reconcile store's sales making sure to resolve matter if any discrepancies in sales, cash collection/banking and other related issues.
• Monitoring and managing petty cash for stores and office's expenses.
• Monitoring and managing cheque/cash deposits & bank transfers (from customers, to suppliers & vendors).
• Preparing invoices, credit memos, cash receipts as well as any other financial documentation to track and have proven records of incoming and outgoing funds.
• Clearing pending invoices in timely manner and following up with suppliers/vendors regarding proper invoicing and follow ups.
• Coordinate the bank regarding any customer's matters (credit card disputes, credit refund & other related issues) and company support.
• Set up & maintenance of vendor database & filing system.
• Payment forecasting (pre & actual forecast).
• Prepare effective & efficient payment plan to ensure proper cash outflow for the given forecast.
• Supplier account reconciliation as per assigned vendors.

Requirements

We are looking for positive, dynamic and pro-active accountant to take care of the finances of a busy company and below is the criteria, specifying more details:

• Strong background (knowledge & experience) in Accounts/Finance of retail is mandatory (luxury and local based brands' companies are preferred experience).
• Experience in UAE
• Fluency in English (written & spoken) is mandatory
• Russian Language is added advantage
• The remuneration package will be individually based on the previous experience, other adding-value skills and different areas of expertise and match to the criteria.
