Job description / Role
• Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas of financial accounting & reporting.
• Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• The Accounting Manager supervises 3 direct reports and manages a team to ensure that the work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• The position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities.
Requirements
5 - 10 years' post-qualification experience gained in large organization preferably in F&B industry:
• Monthly financial close process
• Accounts Payable Function
• Customer Billing & AR Function
• Product Costing
• Capital Expenditure process
• Monitor cash balances and forecasts
• Well versed with IFRS standards and GAAP
• Sound experience towards enhancement of internal controls by improving processes, documentation & monthly account reconciliations
• Deadline-driven – Ability to work under pressure and meeting the reporting deadlines of HQ, Local office and customer
• Responsible for accurate and timely financial close processes & reporting.
• Highly computer literate with sound spreadsheeting and reporting skills
• Familiar with computerized accounting and multinational business environment preferably in Oracle
• Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives. Monitor and advise on the progress and enhance professional development of staff.
• Good team player with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding customer relationship and service philosophy.
• Understands commercial practices and requirements for the GCC.
• CPA, CIMA or ACCA holder or tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
