We're looking for Accounting Manager who will join our Adecco UAE Team in our Dubai Office.

Job Purpose
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the preparation of internal and external financial reports in accordance with accounting rules used within the company and the monthly consolidation process for the Adecco Group. The role holder monitors developments in reporting requirements assessing the impact on the Adecco Group including the preparation of accounting policies and training as well as assists in providing guidance on teams on accounting matters.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Accounting & Reporting
• Maintain and keep accounts and general ledgers precise and in a timely manner.
• Supervise the preparation of the monthly and year-end Book Closing and Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Statement in accordance with GAAP.
• Ensure on time and accurate reporting to local authorities, clients, HQ.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare required adjusting entries.
• Analyse revenues, cost, commissions, and expenses on a monthly basis to ensure those are recorded appropriately.
• Preparation of financial and corporate reports by collecting, analysing and verifying information.
• Actively participate in enhancing internal controls and investigate potential risk areas.
• Ensure appropriate use of accounting system and implement the necessary updates/customizations to improve productivity and deliverables of Accounting department.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors.
• Undertake ad hoc projects, such as the implementation of new accounting processes.
• Provide support to the Branches and overall business on accounting matters.
• Follow and implement the corporate policies and procedures.
• Design, analyse and implement finance related projects and initiatives
 
Team Management
• In charge of the activity/productivity/deliverables of accounting team
• Recruit new members for the team (final approval by Finance Manager)
• Train, coach and develop the team in line with agreed processes and business priorities
• Conduct regular and year-end performance appraisals of the team based on clearly defined and communicated KPIs, targets and competencies
• Build a Great Place to Work resulting to increasing engagement and a healthy retention within the team

Requirements

Qualifications
• University Degree, Accounting or Finance (MANDATORY) MBA is an asset
• 7+ years working in a accounting department within a multinational organisation
• Excellent knowledge of local taxation, legislation and general ledger Proficiency in Excel
