Job description / Role
We are looking for a results-driven Accounting Manager with a strong foundation in audit, reconciliation, and compliance to oversee the financial operations of our client's growing construction business. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading accounting functions, preferably with a background in top-tier audit accounting firms and a solid understanding of international transactions and regional tax requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Manage and lead monthly and annual financial closings and reporting processes
• Handle financial audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors for timely completion
• Monitor and reconcile project-specific financial transactions and cost allocations
• Ensure accuracy in intercompany and international transactions
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax) and prepare accurate tax filings
• Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Prepare detailed financial reports for management and project stakeholders
• Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance support staff
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification (preferred)
• 6–10 years of relevant experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role
• Audit or consulting background with Top tier accounting audit firms is highly preferred
• Previous experience in the construction or contracting industry is a strong advantage
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP), financial regulations, and tax compliance
• Proficiency with accounting systems and ERPs (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
