Job description / Role
Our Architectural & Design Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced accounts & finance officer to join their team in Dubai, UAE. Successful candidates will have a proven background as an accounts & finance officer and have worked within construction design or engineering consultancy companies previously.
This role is available for immediate joining and is a direct hire, permanent opportunity employed by our client.
Key Responsibilities:
• This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, and a proactive approach to financial management.
• Petty Cash Handling: Manage and oversee the petty cash fund, ensuring accurate recording and reconciliation of transactions.
• Invoice Raising: Prepare and issue invoices to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
• Project Budget Calculation: Calculate and manage project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial control.
• Receivables & Payables Handling: Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely collection of dues and payments to vendors.
• Calculations of Project Expense: Monitor and calculate project expenses, ensuring all costs are accounted for and within budget.
• Invoice Handling (Client): Manage client invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Invoice Handling (Subcontractor): Oversee subcontractor invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts and payment terms.
• Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• QuickBooks: Utilize QuickBooks for accounting and financial reporting, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Daily Expense Management: Monitor and manage daily expenses, ensuring accurate recording and adherence to budgets.
• VAT: Handle VAT calculations, submissions, and compliance with UAE VAT regulations.
• Corporate Tax: Manage corporate tax filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax laws.
• Monthly Report Preparing: Prepare monthly financial reports, providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand their financial needs and support their financial planning processes
Requirements:
Accounts & Finance Officer Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience of not less than 3 years and must have
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of UAE financial regulations and tax laws.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary:
AED
4,000 to 5,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
