Primary Responsibilities:

The candidate shall be directing and supervising the Accounts Payable function. The candidate will directly work with the Senior Finance Manager. The candidate will have to work on special projects on top of regular functions listed below.


- Supervising the accounts payable and disbursement function which includes reviewing and analyzing all payment requests and invoices to ensure they are adequately substantiated and paid in compliance with Group policies and procedures
- Performing regular reconciliations and ensure timely clearing of all reconciling items
- Ensuring that all advances from suppliers are accounted for and timely utilized
- Monitoring of payables aging, ensuring no long outstanding balances remained unresolved
- Ensuring that vendor database are updated accurately and on timely manner
- Preparing concise and informative analysis for management reporting
- Recommending internal control procedures and the improvement of the delivery of services within Accounts Payable
- Acting as a member of the Group's audit team and assisting in preparing schedules, reports and other documents as required by the auditors; and analyzing general ledger balances and assembles transaction documents for outside auditors
- Ad-hoc analysis: ability to understand/mine the data in accordance to the business needs and problems to be addressed
- Performing related duties as required

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree with major course in Accounting with at least 5 year professional accounts payable experience (inclusive of supervisory experience) or equivalent combination of training and experience which results in the possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the job descriptions above
- Preferred candidates are Certified Public Account or its equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and MS Word is a must
- Knowledge on SAP and using integrated accounting (ERP) software is desirable
- Be able to process a high volume of transactions accurately in a fast-paced environment, possess effective time management, supervisory, verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to efficiently organize and direct the processing of a large volume of transactions
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards and current regulatory requirements (i.e. value added tax)
- Solid experience in managing and guiding staff in the performance of various accounting duties
