Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Receipt Postings, Customer payment allocation against paid invoices.
• Submit daily statistics of Customer Receipts posted in the system, to Receivable Manager / Credit Manager.
• Reconciliation of customer accounts with Debtors Ledger balances.
• Retain and report registers of reconciliations completed each month.
• Post bank transfer from customers on daily basis. Follow-up with bank in remitter unknown cases and close such cases on a daily basis.
• Cheques / Cash / Unapplied Credits tracking and application/allocation.
• Keeping unallocated credits to the minimum possible and monitoring.
• Reconciliation of customer accounts, follow-up payment with Sales teams, communicates with Customers; establishing direct contacts, and maintain daily diary of payment follow-up activity.
• Provide all necessary information to Sales personnel to ease collection of payments from customers.
• Provide Statements of Account to Customers/Sales personnel.
• Post credit notes in the system, accurate allocation against invoices.
• Cash reconciliation on a daily basis (on both collection and deposit). Daily collection report (Cash, Chq., PDC)
• Regularly review the cash/collection report sales people submit. Sign on the Register maintained for Receipt voucher control of each sales person.
• Ensure Invoices received from CS department in a timely manner, ensure PoD (Proof of Delivery) is attached or stamped on each invoice. Report missing invoices. Archive.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
• ACCA/ CFA/ CPA qualified with taxation knowledge and experience (must)
• Degree/Diploma in Finance / Accounting, Or, Plus II & Diploma in any discipline with minimum 3 year experience in Accounts Receivables function

Minimum Experience:
• Graduate with 8 years functional experience out of which 2 years should be in an equivalent Middle Management position.
• Minimum 3 year experience as Receivables Accountant.

Functional Knowledge:
• Understanding of Accounting practices
• Understanding of banking practices
• Precision and speed in data entry
Job-Specific Skills:
• Attention to details & numerical ability
• Understanding of Accounting Principles & banking procedures
• Sound knowledge of receivables & overdue
• Excellent MS office skills
• Previous knowledge of ERP (Microsoft Navision preferred)
