Employment: Full Time

We are working in partnership with our long standing client to source an Accounts Team Manager – Finance for its Middle East Head office based in Dubai. This role is for an experienced qualified Accountant with supervisory experience to manage and lead the busy accounts team.

Main responsibilities will be to oversee the management of general accounts and payroll and daily accountabilities will be mentor and develop the team and provide them with day to day guidance. Provide hands on support on complex reconciliations of bank accounts and large accounts payables accounts as well as the payroll process including gathering of data and processing leavers and joiners.

There will be support to the other accounting activities across the MENA region including Abu Dhabi, Doha and Riyadh. There will constant review of current processes to ensure continued efficiency including invoices and payments on the system, releasing invoices and dealing with reconciliations for month end closing and monitoring of cash position and ensuring optimization of cash flow.

Additional responsibilities will include overseeing month end activities such as reconciliations and accruals, reviewing the accounts in general with the Management Accountant and providing support for annual audits.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of five years accounting experience.

Our client is looking for a background in professional services such as finance, banking, law or management consultancy. Compliance experience from the region is essential as is two years supervisory experience in managing an accounts team as well as a good understanding of payroll and UAE labour law.

An excellent team leader with an proven track record in delivering best practice accounts services to stakeholders and a good commercial sense are all prerequisites for the role.
