Job description
The AI/Data Consultant will provide expert guidance on the design, development, and deployment of data and AI solutions for healthcare applications. This role requires hands-on expertise in data engineering, AI/ML model development, and healthcare interoperability standards. The consultant will work closely with technical teams and clients to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that drive business value in Abu Dhabi's healthcare ecosystem.
Key responsibilities
- Assess client requirements and design tailored data & AI solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
- Develop and implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and AI/ML models to support healthcare use cases.
- Ensure solutions comply with healthcare standards (FHIR, HL7, SNOMED) and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR).
- Provide expertise in data modeling, governance, and quality assurance for healthcare datasets.
- Design and deploy AI-driven applications, such as predictive analytics and clinical decision support systems.
- Collaborate with integration teams to enable seamless data exchange using APIs and FHIR resources.
- Conduct performance tuning, testing, and optimization of data and AI solutions.
- Create detailed technical documentation and provide training to client teams.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging AI technologies to recommend best practices.
- Support regional healthcare initiatives by tailoring solutions to Abu Dhabi's unique requirements.
Required skills and experience
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, AI/ML, or related fields, with a focus on healthcare applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning, Cosmos DB).
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn) and programming languages (Python, Spark).
- Expertise in healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, SNOMED, LOINC) and API development.
- Experience with data governance, ETL/ELT pipelines, and database management (SQL, Cosmos DB).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure AI Engineer Associate certification.
- Experience in healthcare technology projects in the Middle East.
- Knowledge of UAE-specific healthcare regulations and standards.
