AI Lead Engineer

Job description / Role

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer / AI Lead to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems for advanced robotic platforms. This role requires strong hands-on expertise in local/on-prem LLMs, orchestration software, system integration, and robotic execution pipelines, with the ability to translate AI decisions into real-world robotic actions.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build, and manage local/on-premises Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI systems.
• Develop end-to-end orchestration software covering the complete workflow:
Input ? Decision ? Output ? Robot execution.
• Implement AI logic that generates final, actionable outputs for robotic systems.
• Develop and maintain APIs, system integrations, and automation pipelines.
• Work closely with robotics, software, and system teams to integrate AI with hardware.
• Handle AI infrastructure, deployment, connectivity, and system reliability.
• Optimize AI systems for performance, scalability, and real-time execution.
• Lead or mentor engineers (for Lead role) and contribute hands-on to core development.

• Strong programming expertise in Python and C++.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs (local/on-prem deployment preferred).
• Experience in robotics, automation, or cyber-physical systems.
• Strong knowledge of API development, system integration, and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with AI infrastructure, model deployment, and production environments.
• Understanding of decision-making systems, workflow automation, and execution pipelines.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, product-driven engineering environments.

Good to Have:
• Experience with robotics middleware, automation platforms, or real-time systems.
• Exposure to hyper-automation or AI fusion architectures.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or robotics organizations.
