Job purpose

dnata Airport Operations' vast ground handling operations successfully service the major global hub that is Dubai International Airport. We deliver a seamless experience from check-in to baggage delivery for more than 80 million passengers and 140 scheduled airlines annually.

As an Airside Service Delivery Supervisor, you will provide expertise on shift to enhance service quality, address challenges, and ensure safety, efficiency, and customer focus. Oversee baggage handling, liaise with teams, and coordinate below-wing activities for timely departures, adhering to all standards. Proactively identify and address any operational issues to maintain seamless service delivery.

In this role, you will:

  • Enhance service quality: Provide subject matter expertise to improve service quality and address operational challenges, ensuring a customer-focused environment.
  • Safety and efficiency: Ensure a safe and efficient operation by adhering to all regulatory, legal, and safety standards during shifts.
  • Baggage handling oversight: Manage and oversee baggage handling processes, coordinating with teams to ensure timely departures in line with service level agreements.
  • Below-wing coordination: Lead the coordination of below-wing activities during aircraft arrivals and departures, guiding teams on specific handling requirements.
  • Progression plan: Includes an 18-month development plan for the Airside Service Delivery Supervisor - Emiratisation program, supporting career growth and role mastery.

Qualification

Qualifications & experience:

  • High school with certificate
  • 2-4 years experience in aviation field with knowledge of ground handling activities

Knowledge and skills:

  • Advanced understanding of airline customer service products (specific airport related requirements), aviation terminology and industry regulations for the assigned work area.
  • UAE driving license (for airside-based roles).
  • Preferably first aid trained.
  • Advanced supervisory, communication, writing skills.
  • English language skills level 5.
  • Proficient customer management, planning, organizing and data collection and analysis skills.
  • Proficient safety awareness skills, IT and computer literacy skills.
  • Advanced understanding of the usage of departure control system, usage of AACS, BELT, DMIS, airline requirement and customer SLAs & KPIs.
  • Proficient understanding of the turnaround process.
  • Fundamentals of load control.
