Job description / Role
Job Purpose
Assists production engineers in daily duties of data collection and analysis. Analyzes and gives technical support and graphical presentation of oil, gas, and water injection data by using APEX, FINDER, OFM, and Visual Basic applications. Develops a real-time monitoring program to update SCADA data, calculate oil rate, and monitor performance, pressure, and temperature behavior of wells.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Develops a well mapping program that automatically updates with APEX data and visually shows the status of wells (opened or closed), reason for closing, and production rate of each string, well, tower, pipeline, and radial.
- Prepares fields well head tower technical data book and a variety of maps on various activities of fields.
- Examines all data collected for consistency and reliability to ensure that no erroneous data is accepted from site before updating in the system.
- Analyzes and interprets data using available techniques including in-house and external computer analyses and simulation.
- Updates closing and opening status of wells, calculated oil rate with WHFP, SLP, and GOR reason for closing in APEX.
- Calculates gas utilization of the field and updates in APEX. Prepares monthly and weekly reports showing oil, water, and gas achievements, and losses due to field activities, reservoir monitoring, and well testing achievements.
- Updates water quality data contents of sulphate reducing bacteria (SRB), Coulter count, iron content, Millipore, hydrogen sulphide, salt content, and basic sediment and water (BS&W).
- Calculates IPR of different zones, prepares tower and pipeline potentials, oil and water rates, and graphical presentation, trend, plot, and performance of wells, production, and injection rates based on data.
- Prepares production optimization with information of wells producing above and below allowable, opened wells without allowable, closed wells with allowable, and high producing wells.
- Custodian of tower network field maps. Liaises with site, FDD, DED, and field for collecting data for creating, updating, and issuing various maps.
- Creates and updates tower network field drawings showing oil, water, gas injection towers, and oil, water, and gas pipeline status such as mothballed status, future planned, and pigging facilities.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in computer science or any relevant discipline or equivalent.
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
6 years of experience, including at least.

As applicable.
