Job description / Role
We are currently recruiting an Android Developer on behalf of a leading international brand whose headquarters are here in Dubai. A crucial aspect of this role is designing and developing advanced applications for the Android platform. Applicant must be able to run unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability using a Test-Driven Development approach. Requirements
Applications are sought from those with a minimum 8 years of Java programming experience. It is essential that you have in-depth understanding of key Android frameworks, data-structures, algorithms and design patterns, as well as In-depth understanding threading and performance tuning of Android Apps. All applicants need to have experience integrating Android applications to back-end services and third-party frameworks. Experience delivering apps that follow the Google’s design principles and interface guidelines is imperative.
You must able to break down complex technical problems into simple, implementable solutions and help with realizing practical and robust App architecture on the Android platform. It is important that applicant can maintain a full and complete understanding of mobile development life-cycle. If the applicant has experience with travel related apps that is highly preferred. We are looking for someone who has experience developing multi-lingual applications and experienced working on commercial software products with large user deployments.
