Job description / Role
• Reporting directly to the senior management of the company
• Assessing the anti-money laundering and terrorism financing controls on regular basis to ensure their adequacy and
effectiveness to counter any changes that arise on the AML and Terrorism Financing Directions
• Identify the money laundering and terrorism financing risks associated with the new products or services or those that
arise as a result of operational changes that occur in the company including the introduction of new processes,
technologies and measures taken to address such risks
• Train and mentor the employees on an ongoing basis
• Ensure that the internal control system in the company operates efficiently and appropriately covers the application of
these Instructions and prepare the annual reports necessary for this purpose
• Reviewing all existing internal policies and advising what needs to be amended, what other policies should be made i
• Continuously reviewing sanctioned people, companies and countries and sending out internal emails to inform employees
• Making sure our KYP is updated
• Reviewing Thomson Reuters system and sending updates from our side
• Monitoring IA and DHA website and legal updates and informing employees
• Carrying out training on compliance annually
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years experience in Compliance
• Extensive knowledge of DHA and Insurance Authority regulations
• University degree (Law degree preferred)
• Experience working with Thomson Reuters system
• Extremely professional and responsible with clear examples of those qualities
