Application Analyst

Job description / Role

- Provide Technical support & Problem Resolution (on phone, email, remotely and in-person) for IT related incidents.
- Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for software problems.
- Provide technical support for the time & attendance system
- Provide technical support for the business Applications and portals
- Roll out and support Maximo Tablets
- Contribute in the design and the development of the B to C mobile applications
- Liaise with Etisalat and DU for requesting/deactivating communication services
- Design and develop new and modified features of software application
- Create web services called from external applications to integrate with software application
- follow best development practices and software development life cycle methodologies throughout product development
- Design and build product deliverables according to specifications
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle –concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support
- Participate in projects and provide assistance to Supervisor as and when needed.
- Resolve IT tickets within the agreed SLA timelines and update the service Management system for tracking, analyzing and reporting functions.
- Document the resolution of all reported incidents/ problems.
- Perform unit and system level testing on applications.
- Conduct technical support in line with documented company policies and procedures.
- Implement duties in line with the quality standards, security and health & safety requirements.
- Assist in preparing in-house IT training schedule for functional departments in order to educate on IT policies and procedures, benefits of proper usage and know - how of tools used.

Requirements

Graduate in Computer applications/ with knowledge of the latest software and technologies.

This role is ideal for a quality focused IT Technical Support enthusiast, who has a mix of technical and customer service skills, and passionate about technology and helping people.

- knowledgeable in Microsoft .NET technology; Microsoft Visual Studio development system; hardware sizing and architecture; network and operating systems; server technologies—Microsoft SQL Server Database, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, N-tier architecture, and Web servers; and Internet technologies—Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS)
- Proficient in Crystal report development tool
- Strong OO design and programming skills in Objective-C
- Familiar with iOS SDK (UIKit, Cocoa Touch, Core Data, Core Location)
- Familiar with xcode
- Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
- Familiar with the Android SDK Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
- Familiar with Eclipse
- Execution and Delivery, Effective communication (oral and written), Team player, Accountability, Innovation and Customer service orientation
