Overview of the role
As an Application Engineer needs to understand and can implement best Business Processes in a SAP environment by designing appropriate solutions supporting the customers' business processes as part of the overall SAP programme. Within their process area SAP Application Engineer will be responsible to lead and participate in new scope & requirements, break-fix work, testing, and support activities to meet the business needs. Implementing appropriate processes to drive high quality and sustainable solutions will be critical.
What you will do
- To manage, consult, teach, troubleshoot, setup and maintain respective domain solutions to agreed service level standards.
- Investigates and develops specifications for system changes to handle workloads and high availability.
- Develops and maintains documentation for Technical solution modifications.
- Liaise with software suppliers and the Change Management team for problem resolution and deployment of system changes.
- Ensure compliance with IT Policies, Security Standards and strengthen internal controls.
- Work with internal and external implementation team members and partners to contribute to the development, testing and deployment of solutions.
- Adheres to software development and maintenance standards by maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of internal and external development best practices.
- Estimate and deliver multiple projects assignments and system change requests as per agreed resourcing and timelines with required quality.
- To liaise with relevant managers and stakeholders in IT to ensure full collaboration and understanding on critical topics as one IT team.
- Contribute to the improvement of the solutions and business processes.
- Maintains and upgrades professional knowledge, management skills and domain expertise by using continuous learning & development tools.
Requirements:

- SAP WM functional configuration experience and knowledge of 3PL interface
- Good Consulting Skills
What equips you for the role
- University degree in Information Systems or related discipline
- Minimum of 12-15 years of SAP retail projects and support experience.
- Experience in implementing large and complex SAP Projects and designing solutions to meet business requirements.
- Experience in working with business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design
- Experience in Condition contract management. And changes in SAP S4 HANA in Retail preview.
- Experience in Retail Master data like Merchandise hierarchy, Article hierarchy, Article master, Article categories and site master etc.,
- Experience in Assortment & Layout Management, Pricing & Valuation.
- Expertise in other related areas such as Batch management, Serial number management, Transportation route setup, Reporting, Queries etc.,
- Knowledge of Lean and Full Warehouse Management and decentralized warehouse solutions like Extended Warehouse Management and 3PL warehouse integration etc.,
- Procurement, Internal procurement. Inventory management, Goods receipt and Issue handling, Goods Issue via Outbound process, Physical Inventory and Cross Docking.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management, Handling Unit Management, merchandise distribution, replenishment planning various P2P processes.
- Experience in RF barcode scanner solution design and development for warehouse operations including hardware device setup of RF scanners and label printer.,
- Integration Knowledge - Multiple SAP module such as Finance and Accounting, Inventory, warehouse Management and sales and distribution etc.,
- Working knowledge of Ariba and related interfaces.
- Experience in carry out Fit gap analysis and Creating RICEF's for business improvements, User exit and interface etc.
- Good Knowledge of EDI Interfaces of interfacing with Third Party Systems or with Principal.
- Support Experience of managing day to day IDOC monitoring, troubleshooting and adherence to SLAs for incidents.
