Job summary

The application specialist is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining custom software solutions and application interfaces that support organizational objectives. This role plays a key part in driving digital transformation and process automation while ensuring all applications are secure, scalable, and compliant with CBUAE technology and cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, efficient, and compliant software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy custom software applications and interfaces based on business needs.
• Conduct application testing, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure reliability.
• Support digital transformation and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure full compliance with CBUAE technology guidelines, security policies, and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot existing applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Monitor application performance and resolve issues to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the UAE financial sector or within CBUAE-regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with the following systems:
  • Central Bank Payment Systems - ICCS, DDS, FTS, WPS
  • AEP Payment System (AANI)
  • AECB Credit Bureau System

Technical skills

• Proficiency in .NET development.
• Strong SQL scripting and database management knowledge.
• Ability to work in a regulated financial environment with strict security and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
