Approvals Manager - Fitout Contracting

Job description / Role

We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Approvals Manager to join our team in Dubai, working on high-profile commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments.

This role is critical to ensuring all fit-out works are fully compliant with local authority regulations, project requirements, and client expectations, while maintaining programme and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

*Manage and oversee all fit-out authority approvals from design through to completion
*Liaise with Dubai authorities and master developers (e.g. Dubai Municipality, Civil Defence, DEWA, DDA, Trakhees, Nakheel, Emaar, etc.)
*Coordinate with internal design, construction, and commercial teams to ensure timely submissions and approvals
*Review fit-out drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents for compliance
*Track approval status, manage approval schedules, and mitigate delays impacting the project programme
*Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and subcontractors on all approvals-related matters
*Ensure compliance with HSE, fire life safety, sustainability, and local authority regulations
*Support handover and completion processes, including as-built documentation and final approvals

*Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
*Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in fit-out projects within the UAE, preferably with Tier 1 contractors
*Strong working knowledge of Dubai authority approval processes and regulations
*Proven experience managing approvals for large-scale, high-value fit-out projects
*Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple approvals simultaneously
*Proficient in AutoCAD, document control systems, and MS Office
*Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage)

Salary:
AED 4,000 to 5,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
