Job description / Role
• AR aging analysis – analyze the aging of the accounts receivable balances by distributor. Follow up for payment transfers using this aging report.
• Document collection and letters of credit – maintenance of a tracker for documentary collection for distributors where this applies.
• Payment clearing – clear incoming payments against invoices in the respective distributor accounts.
• Sales order releases – releasing any sales orders that are blocked on request of the customer service team. Ensuring that the documentation is maintained for these releases.
• Debit note payment runs – analyze and approve biweekly payment runs for debit noted owed to the distributors.
• Customer master data – working closely with customer service team to ensure the correct payment terms are maintained in SAP.
• Credit limit update – develop the credit limit working on a quarterly basis. Get necessary approvals and work with Service provider to update the master data in SAP.
• Master data audit – monthly audit for any changes done in master data. Collect all necessary information from customer service or service provider.
• POD audit – collect the documentation for sample invoices from SAP. Work with customer service to get any missing documents.
• Balance confirmations – prepare monthly (top distributors) and quarterly (all distributors) balance confirmation letters for invoice and debit notes balances. Prepare reconciliations for the differences.
• Intercompany balance confirmations – work with service provider to get intercompany balances and recons. Ensure that all missing invoices are booked.
• Month end AR reports by commercial unit.
• Average payment tracker – maintain a report that shows the average time taken to pay off invoices
• MENA reports – reports to the management to show the status of AR on a monthly basis.
Requirements
• Bachelor from an accredited university with a focus on Business, Commerce or Finance
• Professional certification (e.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• High proficiency in MS Office applications (esp. Excel)
