Arabic Senior Accountant

Job description / Role

Assisting the Trade Finance Manager with the day-to-day finance cycle, the role of the Bilingual Senior Accountant will include all AR and AP functions, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, balance sheets, expenses and petty cash management. Monitoring of aged debt and preparation of financial statements and reports in order to assist with month and year end closing, you will utilise QuickBooks on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also possess excellent MS Excel skills to manage large volumes of specific data and assist the Finance Manager with ad hoc reports and analysis. Please also note that the office working hours for this role will be Monday to Friday from 10am until 7pm.

Part of the role will also encompass the review of vendor contracts from a financial standpoint and it is expected that you will act as a key point of contact for all 3rd party suppliers. Additionally, there is also a small volume of monthly payroll to action for the team of 7-10 employees based in Dubai. Maintaining tight control and adhering to all financial policies and procedures, this role requires a team orientated individual with excellent bilingual skills in Arabic & English, due to the nature of the organisation’s clients. Additionally, the group Head Office is based in Cairo and therefore, you will communicate with your peers in the finance team often to share information, reports and facilitate inter-company transactions.

Our client is a small team within a busy trading office based in Dubai. As part of their growth in the region they are incorporating a finance team in their JLT location and therefore this role requires those with regional experience of 5 years; 2-3 of which should be in a similar all-encompassing position. We are specifically seeking those with a finance related degree, additional qualifications such as CA, CPA or CMA and Arabic language fluency.
