Job description / Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Arbitration Lawyer to join our prestigious law firm in Dubai.
As an Arbitration Lawyer, you will play a vital role in representing our clients in complex arbitration cases, providing them with expert legal advice, and ensuring that their interests are effectively protected. The ideal candidate will be a native English speaker with a deep understanding of arbitration law, excellent negotiation skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service. Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in arbitration proceedings, including drafting and reviewing arbitration agreements, submissions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to arbitration laws and regulations in the UAE and internationally.
- Prepare and present oral arguments and submissions in arbitration hearings.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and advise them on the best strategies to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective case strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in arbitration law and practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with regular updates on case progress and developments.
- Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client presentations, to promote the firm’s arbitration services.
- Mentor junior lawyers and support staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with a Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree from a recognized law school.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in arbitration law, with a proven track record in handling complex arbitration cases.
- Native English speaker with excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically under pressure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional negotiation and advocacy skills, with a client-focused approach.
- In-depth knowledge of arbitration laws, regulations, and best practices in the UAE and internationally.
- Proficient in legal research tools and technology, with a strong understanding of case management systems.
- Willingness to travel as needed for arbitration hearings and client meetings.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning in the field of arbitration law.
Salary:
AED
28,000 to 40,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
