Architectural Inspector / Fitout Inspector / ID Inspector

Job description / Role

My client a leading Architectural practice has a requirement for an Interior Design Inspector, Fit-Out Inspector and an Architectural Site Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance throughout the interior design and architectural execution phases of luxury projects in Dubai.

The ideal candidates will possess a strong backgrounds in either interior design/fit-out or architectural construction, with a focus on high-end residential or 5-star hotel projects in the UAE. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with international consultants and contractors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive site inspections to ensure that both interior design and architectural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
* Verify that materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment (FF&E) comply with design specifications and quality expectations.
* Monitor and inspect all stages of construction, including space planning, material selection, furniture installation, and design detailing.
* Interpret and review construction documentation, including plans, specifications, and IFC (Issued For Construction) drawings, ensuring adherence to design intent.
* Ensure compliance with local and international interior design, interior fit-out, and architectural standards, practices, and guidelines.
* Maintain a thorough understanding of local authorities' regulations and ensure all works comply.
* Identify and report any discrepancies, defects, or deviations from the approved design and specifications, and work with relevant parties to resolve them.
* Document inspection findings, progress reports, and quality control records accurately and comprehensively.
* Collaborate effectively with project managers, contractors, and international consultants to ensure seamless coordination and project delivery.
* Provide technical advice and guidance to contractors and site teams regarding interior design and architectural details and construction methodologies.
* Ensure that the quality of workmanship meets the required standards and that any deficiencies are rectified promptly.

Education & Expereince:

* Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
* A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in interior design/fit-out, construction, or architectural inspection in the UAE, with a focus on high-end luxury residential projects or 5-star hotels.
* Proven experience with luxury interior fit-out finishes, fixtures, furniture, and equipment.
* Strong knowledge of the design process, including space planning, material selection, and furniture installation.
* Excellent knowledge of construction materials and methods, including site design detailing.
* Familiarity with local and international interior design and architectural standards, practices, and guidelines.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD and project documentation software. Knowledge of Revit is beneficial.
* Experience working with international consultants.
* Strong personality with excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
