Assembly Manager, Pumps Manufacturing

Job description / Role

Client is an international Pumps Manufacturer are currently looking for an 'Assembly Manager' for their manufacturing/assembly facility in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, senior level manufacturing professional to join a reputable, international organisation with excellent career prospects.

Responsibilities;
- Plan, direct and control all manufacturing activities in the location so that products are assembled on schedule, within quality standards and cost objectives.
- Responsible for driving year over year productivity improvement in labor spending and overhead spending.
- Responsible for meeting inventory turn performance goals and adjusting as indicated by results.
- Estimate manufacturing capacity, production and materials control, and site facilities, maintenance, industrial engineering and other manufacturing support activities.
- Direct a number of production staff
- Manage all the quality control resources and activities inside the plan
- Co responsible to coordinate and allocate resources to achieve the balance between short and long term profit
- Represent company and values external and internal through the organization.

Requirements

- 5 years operational experience with 3 years Leadership experience (shop floor supervisory experience)
- IT literate with fluency in English; both written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, including an ability to effectively coach, motivate, empower, develop and evaluate employees.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers.
- Strong bias for action, and effective change agent.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated high level of integrity
