The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a faculty position in Human Resource Development (HRD) within the College of Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE has been accredited by AACSB since 2000.

To be considered for this position, applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Human Resources Development or closely-related field. The primary professional responsibilities of instructional faculty members are: teaching, research, and service to the University, profession and to the community. These responsibilities generally include: advising students, participation in campus and system-wide committees, maintaining office hours, working collaboratively and productively with colleagues, and participation in traditional academic functions. Therefore, successful applicants are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence with relevant experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in HRD, preferably from an AACSB accredited university. In addition, applicants should be active in research resulting in publications in good quality journals.

The application package should include (1) a cover letter, (2) a detailed resume, (3) names of at least three professional references with contact information, (4) research statement, and (5) a teaching statement that includes a list of courses taught and (6) outreach statement detailing previous work individually or with students in support of human resource management in the community and region and/or academic profession and how this experience might be used to build a program at UAEU. English is the language of instruction and communication within the CBE.

Requirements

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field from an AACSB accredited institution and proven record of publications in top-ranked journals and relevant teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification
Ph.D. in HRD with a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
