Overview of the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Branch Accountant to join our team at the TY & LX Showroom and Workshop. This role involves providing crucial support to the Finance Business Partner (FBP) - Retail and ensuring the smooth operation of financial processes for both Toyota and Lexus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage revenue collection, including cash, credit card, cheque payments, and online transfers.
  • Ensure timely posting and scanning of cheques, and maintain daily collection and petty cash funds.
  • Monitor insurance limits for cash collection and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Handle petty cash management, including posting documents and customer cash refunds.
  • Supervise cash and cheque transactions, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Reconcile daily RTA eWallet transactions and manage eWallet cash float.
  • Oversee accounts receivables management, including monitoring branch AR reports and reconciling credit customer accounts.
  • Perform financial transactions, process invoices, and ensure all relevant documentation is complete.
  • Support and guide matrix managers, sales team, and sales admin.
  • Conduct financial reporting, cost monitoring, and internal controls.

Required skills to be successful

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as SAP.
  • Strong understanding of revenue collection and petty cash management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
