Assistant Chief Steward

Job description / Role

The Assistant chief Steward job includes completing stewarding operations and to ensure it runs in accordance with the standards of the hotel and Kempinski in order to encourage sales and maximize guest satisfaction.Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of all outlets,back of the house areas to the highest level of set standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- A courteous, professional and efficient service is provided at all times.
- All rules and regulations are strictly adhered within the hotel including hotel's policy on fire and safety as well as hygiene regulations including HACCP.x
- A high quality of product and service is never compromised in the outlet.
- Ensure that the place of work and surrounding area is kept clean and organised at all times.
- The sales are driven to the outlet's full potential and the budget is adhered to.
- Be knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the hotel.
- Products reports and analysis of the outlet and present report in the monthly performance meeting.
- Execute and demand the team to execute the highest level of service and set up standards at all times.
- Assist in preparation of the outlet's budget.
- Conduct monthly inventory of operating supplies and equipment together with the stewarding department.
- Supervise contractors in kitchen and back of house area of the Food and Beverage division.

Requirements

Competencies:

- Must have relevant experience on the same position in a 5 star hotel.
- HACCP certified.
