What you will be doing:

Reporting to the Cluster Talent & Culture Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
- Receives payroll information and will be responsible for accurate input of data into Company Payroll System
- Performs other unscheduled payroll transactions including preparation of manual checks for terminations or other approved reasons.
- Audit payroll balance sheets, YTD earnings, etc
- Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations is accurate and timely
- Completes appropriate changes to employees direct deposits, and Benefits
- Manage the Time and Attendance process and support the department
- Ensure systems are set up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, sick and vacation time in line with contracts
- Balances Monthly Payroll and distributes reports and Employee Payslips
- Manages the process for Workman's Compensation Benefits and attend to claims
- Manages all the Employee Benefits, i.e., Medical Insurance, Retirement Fund, Disability, Retirement Plans and Death Claims.
- Assist in leading the day-to-day operation of the Human Resources Department and support the implementation of human resources strategies.
- Assist the Cluster Talent & Culture Manager in assessing organizational needs, developing aligned human resource solutions and implement strategies in the areas of employee relations, compensation and benefits, recognition, administration and Colleague wellness.
- Facilitating all colleague related events & activities.
- Support Cluster Talent & Culture Manager in facilitating the departmental meetings focus groups and team building activities as required.
- Promote positive Colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect and fun.
- Assist Departmental Leaders with the development of specific action plans to address issues and concerns identified in Colleague feedback.
- Follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Your experience and skills include:

- Previous human resources leadership experience required
- Recruiting experience in a hospitality environment essential
- Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
- University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Pre-opening experience is an asset
- Hotel operational experience is an asset
- Experience in the UAE is an asset
