ManpowerGroup Middle East

Dubai, UAE

Ref: HP647-2185

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client, a multinationational ecommerce company is currently seeking to recruit an assistant audit manager to help the head of the internal audit with the following :

You have interests beyond IT and you are a global citizen, not worried about traveling to remote places. You have an entrepreneurial mind-set and you’ve seen small start-ups as well as large and mature IT organisations. You understand how to balance risk and control. Your role is highly 2 autonomous, and you’ll work with our 3rd party service provider to execute the various audits in the segment. You’ll also be asked to provide input for new services, the annual audit plan, various ad-hoc requests and projects, and so on. This requires a high degree of flexibility in where and when you work.

While we value a master’s degree, your prior education is less relevant than your track record and experience. And, while relevant, you understand the limitations that certifications such as CISA, CISM, CEH and CISSP have. You are on top of your game, and IT holds no secrets for you. Coding and IT sysadmin experience is a strong plus. Moreover, you have a clear understanding of Agile development methods and devops teams.

Your morals, ethics and drive are solid and you are only satisfied with high quality, on time deliverables. You are able to deal well with competing priorities and conflicting interests of stakeholders, and you keep your cool when the pressure is on. You are able to easily build relationships with clients and know how to add value beyond the scope of a specific project. You are able to tell a compelling story, and your business English is outstanding; you understand the importance of the Oxford comma.

Your role

As part of an energetic team, you support clients with managing risks and improving business processes. You suggest ways to improve and provide constructive suggestions to help management achieve their objectives. You help with risk assessments, controls testing, and gap remediation. You provide input for the annual audit plan (which includes advisory projects), based on risk registers, your experience, recent trends in the industry, and discussions with management to scope effectively. You work closely with business process auditors, as well as the IT, risk and control teams at our clients. You manage the relationships with local management and staff to ensure our department is effectively adding value. You continuously strive to improve service delivery, which includes communications, service offerings and methodologies. This includes the development of new services to ensure we stay relevant. Your work in internal audit prepares you for a role in the company.

Requirements

You are a professional with a background in IT. You are comfortable in talking to CTOs, CIOs as well as security managers, architects, developers, and administrators. You are well versed in information technology trends, development languages, as well as security tools and threats. You have 3-7 years of experience in IT, ideally coupled with a number of years in IT audit. You are an ‘IT guy’ first, auditor second.
