In this role you will beeporting to the MEP Manager, you are to assist the facility Shifts that operate within the facility maintenance department. You will manage the, statutory inspection of all the building and park facility associated equipment via the application of a planned preventative maintenance approach with the aim of maximising the equipment availability and safety in operation.

The role calls for strong leadership skills and an ability to clearly focus on the planning & preparation of the activities administered by the facility maintenance teams.

Main Duties:

- To work as operational engineer carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance
- To lead teams of engineering personnel during park operation in order to provide an effective breakdown service that will facilitate excellent ride availability and safety for our guests and staff
- To lead teams of engineering personnel in order to administer the PPM and safety checks in line with company procedures
- To assist the Facility management team to maximizing ride and equipment availability and safety in operation
- Responsible for buildings, utilities, engineering (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting) and trades (carpentry, masonry, painting, signage, crafts)
- Oversees safety of guests and employees in compliance with all applicable rules & regulations, Internal Merlin Group and Dubai Parks and Resorts Safety guidelines
- Manages, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects for the pre-opening construction through park operation and expansion
- Manages and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools and equipment and in the maintenance of buildings and utility systems of the park
- Manages and coordinates activities of service contractors
- Manages and coordinates capital projects by planning projects, interviewing and selecting contractors to perform work within the property boundaries and ensures project budgets are maintained
- Assist in developing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program to ensure all facilities and equipment is maintained throughout its life cycle
- Responsible in all aspect of safety, health and environmental within owns team in line with the Group Policy
- Ensure that risk assessments being carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that the team member is aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it
- Ensure that safe working practices are monitored, and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly
- Where incidents do occur, he/she must ensure that they are thoroughly investigated and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Requires the ability to delegate responsibilities clearly, concisely and maintain an open-door policy

Health & Safety:

- Managers/Supervisors are responsible for all aspects of Health, Safety & Security within their department, in line with the Group Policy (HS001). In particular, they must ensure that risk assessments have been carried out, that safe working procedures are in place for all work activities and that all employees under their management are aware of the Group Health, Safety and Security Policy and their obligations under it. They must ensure that safe working practices are monitored, and that risk assessments and procedures are reviewed regularly. Where incidents do occur, they must ensure that they are investigated appropriately and that where necessary, corrective action is taken to ensure that such incidents are not repeated

Requirements

Are You a Star?
In order to be qualified for this role you should possess the below criteria:

- Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / HVAC Engineering.
- Requires a minimum of seven (07) years maintenance experience, with a minimum of three years supervisory experience.
- Three years of facility maintenance experience in the theme park or water park environment.
- Extensive knowledge of Building maintenance, Heat exchangers, Water supply systems, Lighting, fire protection systems. HVAC, Electronic system
- Ability to read blueprints pertaining to electrical, mechanical and plumbing.
