Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The assistant operations manager is responsible for the management and location of each employee deployed under their clients.

The assistant operations manager is responsible for overall deployed headcount to all of their allocated clients.

This will include:
- Conducting a monthly employee audit, which includes meeting every employee, confirming their accommodation and site locations. The AOM report progress against this on a daily basis to the Admin team.
- This audit information will then be checked for any missing records. Once identified these will then be handed back to the AOM to conduct a final check within 24 hours and report to the Admin manager and the Operations manager any employees that have not been located.
- Maintain an employee query log. All queries raised by employees are to be logged and reported to the operations manager on a daily basis. The operations manager will then provide feedback on each of these queries within 48 hours and the AOM’s are responsible to pass this information back to the employees.
- The assistant operations manager will be responsible for managing the team of supervisors allocated under their contracts. This will include monitoring utilization and reporting this to HQ on a daily basis. Any repeat offenders are to be given warnings form the supervisors that the AOM’s are responsible to oversee and track.
- This is not a HQ based role and as such working hours will be adjusted according to the business needs and expectations.
- The AOM’s are also responsible to report on any activities that may be detrimental to the business.
- AOM’s will also be required for any deployments that occur within either one of their allocated accounts or other contracts depending on the needs of the business. AOM’s will also be required for Ad-hoc work to support payroll & welfare team with their weekly / monthly visits as well as any other activities requested of the senior management.
- Ensure delivery of scorecards in line with group and business unit budgets and expectations.

Requirements

- Minimum 3 years operations management experience ideally within a large manpower operation within the UAE.
- Able to communicate effectively with both employees and HQ, an excellent handle of the English language is a must.
- Understanding of the UAE labor law and the processes associated to this such as terminations etc.
- Understanding of payroll processes and practices and ability to interpret pay slips, address queries and explain deductions.
- Organized and structured in their approach.
- Able to create daily, weekly and monthly schedules for employee audit purposes.
- Excellent communicator and able to convey messages in a clear and concise fashion to both HQ and employees.
