Job Description
The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a faculty position. The appointee will be involved in the co-ordination of undergraduate teaching of medical students and medical residents preparing for Arab Boards in Obstetrics and Gynecology & RCOG membership, and the organization of clinical examinations and mock examinations in Obstetrics and Gynecology for MBBS and postgraduate (Arab Board and MRCOG) examinations. About 50% of the clinical time would be spent overseeing and developing clinical service in the care of medical illness in pregnancy. He/she will also provide Consultant service covering general Obstetrics and Gynecology during acute calls.

The appointee would be expected to contribute to research within the CMHS and in collaboration with clinical colleagues in the two teaching hospitals. The CMHS operates an integrated/problem-based learning curriculum and provides research opportunities in a new medical school complex and 500 bed referral hospital.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
Candidates for this position must hold a basic MD or MBBS from recognized accredited university by the Higher Ministry of Education at UAE in-addition to a recognized higher professional advanced training in Obstetrics and Gynecology qualifying the candidate to a consultant clinical license by UAE government with a certification/fellowship (or equivalent) in North America, Australasia, Europe or South Africa.

Expected Skills/Rank/Experience
An Evidence of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience with an experience of preparing medical students for their final, clinical examinations and residents for Arab Boards and/or MRCOG equivalent and the organization of these examinations is desirable. A minimum of 5 publication in a renowned journal.
