JOB ROLE

This level of position requires dynamic, and proactive Assistant Project Manager with sufficient knowledge in order to execute the following tasks/activities, or to support the Project Manager in doing so:

Define a clear scope for the project.
Communicate with, negotiate with and influence stakeholders
Understand and define roles required throughout the project.
Project Planning – forecasting, scheduling and resource allocation.
Regular monitoring of progress against a baseline using Earned Value analysis
Adhere to change control policies to provide formal records of project change.
Monitor and understand risks and issues; able to identify concerns that threaten the projects objectives, mitigate and minimize threats and maximize opportunities.
Adhere to an effective project review process to help project achieve a successful outcome.
Ensure the outputs of the project and the process by which the outputs are delivered meet stakeholder needs and requirements.
Communicate effectively within your team ensuring that conflicts are avoided.
Assist the Project Manager in carrying out the day-to-day management of the Project.
Assist in co-ordination of the services being provided by all parties, including other business units and sub-consultants.
Assist the Project Manager in setting up the administration and finance system requirements.
Assist the Project Manager in preparing the Project Execution Plan, Project Management Plan and
Project Quality Plan and monitor delivery of our services to these documents.
Assist the Project Manager in satisfying the financial delivery targets of a project.

Requirements

Bachelor Degree in Project Management, Engineering or Architectural discipline.
Significant experience and proven track record in successfully supporting Project Managers on complex architectural, urban / land development, buildings and related infrastructure design projects.
At least 5 years of post-graduate professional experience.
Preferably with at least 2 years of design work experience in the Middle East.
Excellent English communications skills.
Preferably fluent in written and spoken Arabic
Excellent knowledge and experience of design process, computer and office applications.
Team player. Ability to work and communicate well with various stakeholders.
Flexible to attend business trips overseas.
